Irene Rey

Graduated in Environmental Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), she is currently pursuing her PhD at the same institution. Her research focuses on the life cycle assessment (LCA) of hydrogen storage and transport systems based on Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHCs), including environmental and economic evaluation, as well as the role of critical raw materials.
She has carried out her doctoral stay at the Politecnico di Milano, for expanding her research to include the circularity and social life cycle assessment (S-LCA) of hydrogen supply chains based on LOHC technology.
