Michelle graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in Lebanon and obtained her Master’s degree in Environmental and Land Planning Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in October 2023. Her thesis focused on performing a life cycle assessment (LCA) to compare the environmental impacts of two types of car fuels: petrol versus an innovative fuel blend of LPG, bio-LPG, and renewable DME. The study aimed to highlight the importance of decarbonizing the transportation sector and using more sustainable renewable energy resources. As of December 2023, she has been collaborating with the AWARE group as a research intern with the aim of developing a better knowledge of the fields of waste management and biofuel production.
